This road is also the highest paved road in the Alps.
 

At the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (Austria) is a tunnel at the highest point at 2504 m (red arrow, name: Hochtor, length: 311 m).
The 2nd tunnel in the center of the photo is named Mittertoerl (length approx. 120 m, altitude 2329 m) The whole road was opened at 03.08.1935.

At the Timmelsjoch/Passo del Rombo in Italy are 3 tunnels. 2 short tunnels at an altitude of approx. 2450 m.
In the background behind the last road bend is the Passo del Rombo/Timmelsjoch at 2509 m (border Italy/Austria).
50 m behind the point of view begins the longest tunnel (555 m).
120�-turn-tunnel at the Passo di Falzarego (2117 m) near Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy
(altitude of the tunnel approx. 2050 m, length approx. 150 m).

Also on the road over the Gotthardpass (2108 m; N2) in Switzerland are some tunnels in approx. 2000 m altitude.
The longest is approx. 1000 m long and belong to the new pass road, which you can see in the background.
The remaining road between the tunnels has avalanche coverage.
